15 month old son very aggressive, to himself and others. please help.?

My 17 month old went through a 'biting' phase for a few weeks. I knw its not the name, but when he would go to bite we would make a loud noise witha whistle to scare him. After only a few days he stopped biting all together. In your situation, you may need to talk to your doctor about what to do. He seems extremely frustrated and at that age he can't communicate with words... the only thing you can do for now is to try puting him in 'time out'. Good luck I hope all goes well.
